Farm Gate Crate CSA Program

Growing Opportunities' Farm Gate Crate Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program provides an income stream for Growing Opportunities through the sale of produce to community members. We also sell the produce we grow at farm markets, and to local restaurants, markets, chefs and caterers who value local food. The sale of our produce at market rate to those who can afford it, allows us to in turn subsidize sales to non-profit organizations so they can stretch their food dollars further.

In the 2024 growing season Growing Opportunities was pleased to provide discounted or in-kind produce to Nanaimo Association For Community Living, Nanaimo Supportive Lifestyles, A Taste Of Learning, School District 68 (Nanaimo-Ladysmith), and People For Healthy Communities - Gabriola. This was made possible through the sales of our market price CSA boxes and produce.
